Speaker Andrea Korte

On Wednesday, April, 16, at 5pm, in GCC 126, the Psychology Department (along with Psi Chi and Psychology Club) will be hosting one of our alumni, Andrea Korte, to speak to the Bradley community.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Andrea pursued a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago, and has 20 years of experience in the Cook County Juvenile Justice system.

Mrs. Korte will be speaking not only about her career and experiences as a social worker, but also about the transition from a Psychology major to a graduate program in a different field.

Spread the word, and help us pack the room. We'll see you there!

Relay for Life Bake Sale

Psi Chi Inductions, New Officer Installation, and Distinguished Alumnus

Mark your calendars!

On Wednesday, April 9th, we will be inducting six new Psi Chi Members into our chapter. Following inductions, we will also be swearing in our new executive board.

The event starts at 3 p.m. in Bradley Hall, Room 50. This is a very exciting event for inductees, new, and old officers. We're also recognizing and honoring our graduating senior members. Following, we will be having an open session for discussion about events you liked, ones that you think would be beneficial in the future and any suggestions for improvement. This is very important for next year's event planning, so please attend and bring your ideas - all are welcome!

At 4 p.m., we are hosting a distinguished Bradley Alumni, Scott Racine.

Please join us in support for all our new and old members. It is one of our last events of the year, and we would love to see you there!

Meeting of the Minds with Dr. Schmitt

Join us on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 7 - 8 p.m. as Dr. Schmitt presents his research on homosexuality.  The focal point of his talk will be on "The Psychological Science of Sexual Orientations:  What We Know (so far) about Gendered Eroticism".

Movie Night

Hello Psychology Students,

This week Psi Chi and Psychology Club are hosting Movie Night.  We will be showing What about Bob?  This is a movie about a psychiatrist who has a patient who chases him down on vacation and all the entertaining antics that ensue.
Following the film, Dr. Koeltzow will be talking about the psychological themes within the film.

We will be screening the movie from 6 - 9 p.m. in Bradley Hall, room 125.
If that's not enough, we will be also be having pizza.

Subway Night

Hello Psychology Students,

It's that time of the semester again - Subway Night!

On Wednesday, February 26th, Psi Chi and Psychology Club are hosting a fundraiser with Subway in Campustown.  It will be held from 5 - 8 pm.

Last semester, this was a success, and we want to make this one even better.

Bring your friends (Subway accepts Quick Cash) and hang out with other psych students - not to mention we'll be there (and we love seeing all your faces!)

Human Resource Positions with Megan Dunn

Hello Psychology Students,

Join us this Thursday at 3:30 pm for a session with Megan Dunn and Brooke Troisi ('08).  Megan will be providing us with insight and information on what it is like to be involved with HR, and Brooke will be discussing her experience with logistics at Caterpillar.

This is not an event you want to miss, especially if you are interested or planning on a career in Human Resources.
